T2 Trilogy DL2700 Series Access Control Lock with key override -

THE NEWS — I have used and installed several of the T2 and T3 Access control locks on many different applications and I found that as with most installations the right product is definitely conducive to the right job. As with most access control locks, you need to consider what your are trying to accomplish first before you make the decision to buy something that may either be over kill for the job or not adequate enough to accommodate your actual needs.

Firstly, the product itself is top of the line. The quality is exceptional and has been very free of manufacturers defects or other factory problems that can and have occurred with this type of product. I did find that the installation instructions require that the pass through hole be drilled at a certain mark that didn’t really feel very good and may pinch the wires when assembled, but, we realized this right away and made the adjustment.

Ease of programming makes this product simple to own and operate since the programming can be done exclusively from the keypad. (The T3 does have computer software to program the lock with since the features and the volume of users is much greater.) The mechanical part of this lock is Grade 1 giving you over 1 million cycles without showing any wear. The spring housing is not replaceable on the levers, but doesn’t seem to warrant any concern.

I have always been impressed with the locks ability to stand up to daily use. The keys on the pad are always a concern with any of the locks on the market today and I have reported on a few other manufacturers where the keypad has failed in just a matter of months. But the Alarm Lock Trilogy has been designed with that in mind. I am confident that the Trilogy line of products will continue to perform at the highest level of service without ever having to worry about the locks ability to provide one hundred percent of the manufacturers claims.
